Android Email Setup
Set up your email on Android devices using the Gmail app
What You'll Need
- Your full email address (e.g., yourname@yourdomain.com)
- Your email password
- Gmail app installed on your Android device
This guide will help you set up your DigiGrow email account on your Android phone using the Gmail app.
About email app compatibility:
Your DigiGrow email will work with any email app that supports SMTP/IMAP (which includes virtually all modern email apps). However, we provide step-by-step support and instructions specifically for the Gmail app because it's free, secure, reliable, and works perfectly with your DigiGrow email.
If you prefer to use a different email app like Outlook, Apple Mail, or others, you're absolutely welcome to - they'll work fine! You'll just need to set them up manually using SMTP/IMAP settings, and we won't be able to provide detailed setup support for those apps.
Setting up Gmail App
Step 1: Download the Gmail App (if you don't have it already)
If you don't already have the Gmail app on your phone, download it from the Google Play Store:
Note: Most Android phones come with Gmail already installed, so check your app drawer first!
Start Adding Your Email Account
Open the Gmail app. If this is your first time using Gmail, you'll see a welcome screen like this:
Tap "Add an email address" to begin setting up your DigiGrow email.

Choose Your Account Type
You'll now see different email provider options:
Tap "Exchange and Office 365" - this is the correct option for your DigiGrow email. Don't worry about the name - this setting works perfectly with all DigiGrow email accounts and gives you the best experience.

Enter Your Email Address
Now you'll see a screen asking for your email address:
Type your complete DigiGrow email address (for example: john@yourbusiness.com). Make sure to include the @ symbol and everything after it.
Tap "Next" when you've finished typing your email address.

With email address entered
Enter Your Password
The app will now ask for your password:
Type the password that DigiGrow provided you. The password is case-sensitive, so make sure you type it exactly as given.
Tap "Next" to continue.

Empty password field

With password entered
You're All Set!
Gmail will now connect to your DigiGrow email account. When successful, you'll see a confirmation screen:
Congratulations! Your DigiGrow email is now set up and ready to use. You can start sending and receiving emails immediately.

Setup complete!
Already Using Gmail for Another Email Account?
No problem! You can easily add your DigiGrow email alongside your existing accounts.
Here's how:
- Open the Gmail app that's already on your phone
- Tap your profile picture in the top-right corner of the screen
- Look for "Add another account" at the bottom of the menu that appears
- Tap "Add another account" and then follow Steps 3-6 above
Your DigiGrow email will be added to your Gmail app, and you can easily switch between all your email accounts by tapping your profile picture.
What Happens Next?
- Your emails will sync automatically - both new emails and your existing ones
- You can send emails from your DigiGrow address using the Gmail app
- All your contacts and calendar (if you have them) will also sync
- You'll get notifications for new emails just like any other email account
Manual SMTP/IMAP Settings
If you prefer to use a different email app (like Outlook, Apple Mail, or any other email client), you can set up your DigiGrow email manually using these settings:
Server Settings
- Incoming Mail Server (IMAP): mail.yourdomain.com
- Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): mail.yourdomain.com
Replace "yourdomain.com" with your actual domain name. DigiGrow provides mail subdomains for all email clients.
Port Settings & Security
- IMAP: Port 993 with SSL encryption
- SMTP: Port 465 with SSL encryption
Your Login Details
- Username: Your full email address (like yourname@yourdomain.com)
- Password: The password provided by DigiGrow
- Authentication Method: Use "Normal Password" or "Plain" authentication
Contacts and Calendar Settings (Optional)
If your email app supports CalDAV (calendar) and CardDAV (contacts), you can also sync these:
- CardDAV URL (Contacts): https://mail.yourdomain.com/SOGo/dav/yourname@yourdomain.com/Contacts/personal/
- CalDAV URL (Calendar): https://mail.yourdomain.com/SOGo/dav/yourname@yourdomain.com/Calendar/personal/
Replace both "yourdomain.com" and "yourname@yourdomain.com" with your actual details.
Alternative: Some apps may only require the base URL: https://mail.yourdomain.com/SOGo/dav/
Important Security Notice
DigiGrow email requires secure SSL connections. We only support SSL encryption on the ports specified above. STARTTLS and non-secure connections are blocked for your security.
Note: We do not support POP3 email access - please use IMAP for the best experience with multiple devices.
